Paige Armstrong, an accomplished teacher, soprano, and nationally awarded conductor, has served as the Artistic Director of the Edina Chorale since the fall of 2019. Paige graduated in 2019 from the University of Minnesota with a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting and in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Luther College. In addition to her work with the Edina Chorale, she is also one of two choir directors at St. Michael-Albertville High School. In the Twin Cities, Paige is an active singer and is currently in her eleventh season as a soprano, and third season as a section leader, with The Singers – Minnesota Choral Artists, under the direction of Matthew Culloton. She has also sung under Dale Warland in the Winona Beethoven Festival Chorus, Philip Brunelle in the staged production of “The Radio Hour” with VocalEssence, and Matthew Olson with the Bach Roots Festival. Having competed actively in the last decade, Paige was awarded first place in the graduate division of the NATS-MN competition and the divisional MTNA Young Artists vocal competition in 2015. In 2013, Paige won first place in the National ACDA Undergraduate Conducting Competition. In addition to her current teaching position, Paige has taught elementary general music, middle school choir and general music, and high school choir in several Twin Cities school districts.
