Paul McKenzie and Courtney Zupancich job share the Assistant Director Position beginning fall 2007.
Paul McKenzie is Director of Music and Fine Arts at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins . He holds a BA from Concordia-Moorhead and sang with that world-class choir, and a MM from Westminster Choir College , and sang with that world-class choir. A conductor/tenor/percussionist/handbell player, he has taught high school choral music, and been a full-time church musician in Presbyterian and Lutheran Churches , including Westwood Lutheran, St. Louis Park.
Courtney Zupancich is a vocal music teacher, 6th-8th grades, at Minnetonka Middle School East. She previously taught 6th-12th grades at the Whitfield School , St. Louis , MI , and served as organist and/or choir director at Evangelical Free, United Methodist and Catholic Churches . She holds a BA in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is a MA student in music education at the University of St. Thomas.
Elisa Clark was appointed Vocal Coach for the Edina Chorale in September, having served 2005-2006 as Co-Soprano Section Leader. A Lyric Soprano, she holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from St. Olaf College where she studied voice with Dan Dressen and soloed with the Manitou Singers and Cantorei. She also has sung with Magnum Chorum and studied voice with Janice Kimes.
Suzy Schultz was appointed Assistant Accompanist in the fall of 2006. She has sung with the Edina Chorale for 8 years, previously serving as Co-Soprano Section Leader, and soloist. She holds a BA in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota-Morris and worked for 20 years as a district manager for B-Dalton Books. Currently she is Director of Outreach at Christ Lutheran Church , Blaine.
